Hello!  I’m Jane Milligan Arbeiter.  I am the mother of three grown children, living on the south shore of Long Island, New York.  This is primarily a blog about creating, some of my favorite artists and influences and some of the art I’m working on.  I love to try different forms of art and craft, but I always seem to come back to drawing and painting. Mixed media and collage are getting my attention at the moment because they let me experiment in all kinds of medium.  But then I’ll get the urge to sew up some lavender sachets, or little coin purses.  Or make some mini books…Or learn how to crochet…

I’ll try, from time to time, to show some of my working processes as I learn different techniques and tips for painting and collage, bookmaking, or sewing.  Always learning!
