WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – ABSTRACT

On a quick trip to the post office this morning I saw a downed tree trunk and thought it would be perfect for this challenge. The colors have been manipulated with Photoshop filters, bringing out an interesting pattern in the grain.

The Daily Post PHOTO CHALLENGE – MUSE

Muse. What subject keeps you coming back?   I guess the one thing that I never tire of photographing is the sky, especially clouds, the sunrise and sunsets.  This spectacular sky was shot one evening in June on Fire Island with a Fuji FinePix digital camera.

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – ANGULAR

This week’s challenge asks What does angular mean to you?  Well, my first thought went to the bridge going to Robert Moses State Park on Fire Island.  I’ve taken many photographs of the bridge and from the bridge, so this was an obvious choice.

I also had a picture I took from our high school, a kind of stairway to heaven. Playing with it a bit in Photoshop, making the building black and white, helps to accentuate the angles.
