Lighthouse Christmas Card

I have a little painting I did of a lighthouse for this year’s Christmas card. Done in watercolor. The inside has a simple “Merry Christmas” greeting in red and the set comes with red envelopes. I’ve been loving using just a pencil lately, just drawing whatever I see or think of. It’s great practice. I used to be afraid of a blank page, of making mistakes, not getting it right. But that’s what a sketchbook is for! Once I got over myself, not worrying so much about results, it was a bit liberating-I loosened up. Well, here are some pages from my latest book. The color is from watercolor pencils, another favorite.
